If you’re cruising around Salinas and in the mood for reliably delicious food and warm, friendly service, do yourself a favor and stop at Gino’s. Tucked away in a pleasant, tucked-back location just outside of town, this cute hidden gem has quickly become one of our go-to spots. The vibe is laid-back and welcoming, and the menu has something for everyone — which is exactly what you want when you’re craving a great meal.

What keeps us coming back is the consistency. Everything we’ve tried pizza, pasta, and steak has been excellent. Portions are generous (seriously, plan for leftovers), so you’ll get great value in addition to great flavor. My personal favorite is the blackened chicken fettuccine Alfredo: creamy, well-seasoned, and served in a portion that easily covers two meals. The steak entree, served with mashed potatoes and veggies, is another standout tender, well cooked, and satisfying. I even enjoyed a lobster tail there once; it was an unexpected treat done right.
The pizzas are not to be missed either. Crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and perfectly melted cheese make them a real crowd-pleaser. With such a broad selection on the menu, whatever you’re in the mood for, Gino’s is ready to make it and make it well. Whether you’re sharing with friends, grabbing a family meal, or treating yourself to a hearty solo dinner, you’ll leave happy and likely with leftovers for tomorrow.
If you’re exploring the area, put Gino’s on your list. It’s one of those places that feels like a discovery each time great food, friendly staff, and that comfortable, hidden-away charm. Next time you’re in Salinas, check it out. You might just find your new favorite spot.
