The Buttery is a Santa Cruz staple every local will know. I have been coming here since I was 15 years old. My cousin actually worked here for a very long time. I am all too familiar with their amazing desserts! The Buttery is a gourmet bakery and cafe in Santa Cruz, offering sweet treats, fresh bread, and delicious food! They use locally grown produce, and everything tastes so fresh. This is my favorite spot to get a birthday cake, especially the chocolate ganache with raspberry and raspberry whipped cream. It is to die for and not too overwhelming for such a chocolaty treat. The cupcakes are so moist and delicious, and the frosting is so smooth and delicious. Also, another bonus is the fresh squeezed orange juice. Anytime I can get fresh squeezed, I am happy. The last favorite I have here is the Asian Chicken Salad; it is the perfect combo of fresh flavors drenched in a soy peanut sauce from scratch.
